‘Speedy’ Ribas da Costa beats them all!
Sunday’s competitions at Scuderia La Caccia kicked off with a bang, with the 145 speed class — the second-to-last competition at the Bedizzole Csio3* Longines EEF Series. Thirty-nine riders lined up for this competition, and Brazilian rider Thiago Ribas da Costa was the one who made the most of the wide turns set up by course director Paolo Rossato. Entering the arena in the middle of the starting order, Ribas da Costa riding Catharina W & WZ found the best lines to complete the course in 55.15 seconds, a time that remained unbeaten for the rest of the class. Ribas da Costa riding Catharina W & WZ was previously first on Thursday in the second competition of the Csio.Frenchman Jean Luc Mourier came fairly close, with Hng Hot n Cold stopping the clock in 55.35 to secure second place on the podium. Italian Elisa Chimirri and Calandro Z took third place with a time of 57.34.
